I know that I have not posted on here in a while...but just wanted to say I finally got my engine rebuilt ($2300..but it has a 7 year 70,000 mile warranty) and it's running awesome...next I just need to get a 6 speed back in there..I miss having that..and then I can start the convertible conversion!!!

so, this is cruising holding steady at 25 mph in 5th and then tromping on the gas and timing 25 mph to 60? just clearing it up (I wanna see how mine does on all 3 heads it's runing on right now)

I guess my 135 going down hill does take the cake...barely over 100 mph on flat ground...got up to 95 fast but after that it took a little bit to crawl up to that last bit. the 135 was fast because it was downhill and I think it would have gone more if I had had more road (its a 84 sr5)

I never actually cracked it open..I just replaced the tranny. with what I was told was another 6 speed....but I never checked..until 5 months later I tried using extra low....damnit! I was trying to torque a heavy trailer up someones driveway and I was just burning clutch...realized it wasn't in EL ...

This is random and off topic...but what's the fastest that anyone has gotten their tercel to go on flat ground? I know the speedometer only goes to 85, but (at least on mine) the needle clears the little stopper at the 85 mark and keeps going (I was paced next to a mustang at about 100-103 mph best)...

do I want to know who g-fumes is and why we need to start a rehab........

they are worth it if you DON'T use the bulbs they ship with them..those super white lights are illegal in a lot of states because they are high wattage(they are only rated for offroad use) and it has "street lights" on it...if you leave those on the lamp wont fit right, so I took them out ...

I also wanted to know if anyone knows how many amps the stock alternator in a 84 sr5 4wd puts out...mine doesn't have any of the info on the casing like it's supposed to. I believe it's something like 55 or 60, but I am not sure.
