gah.

Hey, long time no see! Unfortunately I haven't been on in awhile (make that years) well, my tercel got crushed :( and since then, I've been driving a trooper that I poured over $1500 in parts in. I'm still keeping an eye out for a terk wagon though!

its black & flat, so im guessing its running rich. Like Mac said, maybe oil is preventing a good spark? or something in the ignition system is causing a weak spark?

oil all over engine, plugs fouling

i just dont understand. I pulled out the plugs and they were covered in black stuff (i dont think its oil, pretty sure its gas) and oil was on the outside of the engine, around the spark plugs. valve cover gasket i guess. but i dont understand why the plugs are fouling. all the vacuum lines has been...

i dont see why not... mounts look similar to our wagons.

go to a junkyard and measure the rad mounts, then compare them to the tercel.

As for peanut butter, I can't stand the popular brands, it's natural for me. If the oil isn't floating on top, then I won't eat it. The natural stuff has no trans fats, the processed stuff is full of them, even if its not reflected in the label. I also check the ingredients, peanuts and salt, thats...

blueshuttle, by any chance do you live in mobile? ive been keeping an eye out in the classifieds for a tercel 4wd wagon (mines 2wd) for about a year now. no luck yet. they seem to be rare around the mobile area (i guess about 70-80% of the cars are 1998-present) but if you go to the u-pull-it in Gul...

Wow! Good finds! It's unusual to find a nice 80's toyota mix like that. Nows your chance to do a 4age swap. :D yeah, im thinking about getting the one from the corolla gts. its 163 dollars for the whole engine. TVIS too. but first i want to pick up a manual transmission for my tercel, that way i wo...

about phone size... i hate most of them, the size would be ok if i was a 9-year-old. otherwise with my large hands (i wear a mens XL glove, & theyre still kinda small for me) theyre cumbersome. i have the razr v3, its ok, but not a lot of features. another thing that gets on my nerves is why doe...

im suprised no one has said any of these: synthetic oil, all my vehicles use full synthetic (the tercel has mobil 1 5W-30, shorty has quaker state synthetic 10W-30). indexing spark plugs, not sure if theres much gain on such a small engine. timing greatly increases power on these little cars, but yo...

finally went to the local u-pull-it...

I finally went to a u-pull-it in tillmans corner. I was actually going there to get parts for the isuzu, but i went to the toyota section to see what they had. i found: 1 1987 Corolla FX16 2 AE86s (one sr5 and one gts) 1 tercel 4wd wagon 1 tercel 5-door hatchback (4-speed, i think) 2 MR2s and then w...

a 4ac can be dropped in with little (or no) modification to the tercel. mac wrote a guide about swapping in a 4ac: viewtopic.php?t=2271

the 4age puts the 3ac to shame, but its a lot of work (ECU wiring, new exhaust, fuel lines, radiator, ect.)

remember how i said that there are about 30 cars and most of them have grass growing around them? i spoke to the owner of those cars. youd figure he would want to get rid of them, since theyve been sitting there for years. hes fixing them up. ALL 30! i could understand fixing some of them, but a few...
