Yeah, I really want one but that is way too far away.
Peter, the SR5 hatchbacks (both first and second gen) are highly sought after!

Re: Really cool Tercel SR5 3-door hatch
Driver's-side replacement arm is 48707-16903; passenger's-side 48703-16903. Either one seems to be $300 from Toyota.

Re: Really cool Tercel SR5 3-door hatch
Cool, just found the original recall documents on the NHSTA site. They call it the lower control arm, which helps explain why I can't find any parts when I look for a trailing arm.

Re: Really cool Tercel SR5 3-door hatch
Well, I was trolling CL tonight, and apparently, this one is still for sale... and the price has dropped by $1000 to $1200. I wish I had the room.

Re: Really cool Tercel SR5 3-door hatch
Odd that the arm was (apparently) never replaced - the recall was in 1986 - 29 years ago. http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1915&dat=19860502&id=8CtHAAAAIBAJ&sjid=O_gMAAAAIBAJ&pg=1141,302176 http://www.arfc.org/autos/toyota/tercel/recalls/000004731000013940000000045/recall.aspx ...

Really cool Tercel SR5 3-door hatch
This really cool Terc popped up in my craigslist recently: http://tercel4wd.com/forums/download/file.php?mode=view&id=4249 I had never seen one before, but I like it! The rear end is really snappy-looking. He is asking for $2200. he writes: I have a 1982 Toyota Tercel SR5 for sale. The car has a...

Re: a few picky things with the new wagon
It could be that there is a problem tire that was switched to the rear. My Buick had vibration that started at ~45 MPH and got pretty bad at 50 & above (tire out of round, methinks). When I rotated the tires, the vibration became almost nonexistent below 70 and only a very mild annoyance above 70.
