Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

Haven't been on here for a while due to my wedding. Looking forward to rebuilding that 4ac that's sitting in the garage, just have to come up with the funds now. Shouldn't take more than a couple months. Planning on doing a wright up once things get set in motion.

Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

I ended up going with a set of 185-60R14 that I found on Craigslist. Wanted to keep the same Gas milage. Steel wheels, but they look really good with the flat paint. Speaking of Craigslist http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/3834294589.html If I'm dropping links might as well post this one. http://w...

Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

I guess 100hp was an overstatement lol. As of this moment for parts I'm leaning towards. Import performance kit 82mm bore at 10:1 Delta 260 cam regrind For exaust I'm going to have that made locally. I'm not sure what's the census regarding valve stem, valve springs and crankshaft. Do you just clean...

Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

Wow thanks for all the info. I picked the 4ac over the 4age for a couple reasons . I really just want something that is reliable and has good fuel economy. My reason for the extra powers is to just get me up to the sierra mountains during the winter for snowboarding. A 4age would be pretty awesome i...

Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

I need to do some more research but as of this moment I'm thinking full rebuild kit, shnieder cam, 2 " exaust, double valve springs, ported head, balanced and a 32/36webber. I'm not sure what cams to get. My goal is 100hp with 30mpg freeway on 91.

Re: front sway bar removal w/ pics

I know this thread is a year old but i'm trying to find the correct bushing for the front and rear sway bars. Correct me if i'm wrong but For the front I would need the two front sway bar bushings. http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MOOG-K9540 And two control arm bushings. http...

Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

Getting a little bit closer to finishing with the paint. The roof needs a couple more coats plus some touch ups here and there. Next week is tie rods, tires and sway bar bushings.

Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

Those mr2's turned out really good. I've been looking for a set of mr2's craigslist ever since I got my car. I gotta try that stuff. Its hard to find metallic colors in spray cans that dont come out looking like poo. Putting a good couple coats of clear coat engine enamel really brings out the paint...

Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

That's funny seeing that cause my buddy has a grenade stenciled that I was going borrow and spray on the side of the car. That car came out pretty good! For my tercel it was a toss up between grey or camo green for the body but thought it would look funny with the interior. Drop me a link when you p...

Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

Thanks, I was running out of daylight so I'm going finish next week. All done with spay-cans. The bottom and window trim is dupli truck bed liner and the top is plastidip gunmetal grey. The dupli truck liner is awesome, the only liner that comes out even, is washable, and doesn't feel like sandpaper...

Re: My not so new 87 Terc (pics inside)

I think 14's with a bigger all terrain tire would look better but this car is going be my daily/ski car so I think I'm better off with the 13's. The terc got smogged and registered today, didn't spend as much time painting cause I was at the DMV most of the day :x. Made some progress though.
