My tercel needs some work... Is it worth it?

So I'm pretty sure the tercel needs a new motor and I don't have the time or money to do it myself. What do you guys think I should do?; Is it even worth it to put the money into it?

Re: Did the front lift on my t4

That is not necessarily true. The camry is a much heavier car and the struts will be further compressed when "at rest" than in the Tercel. It is possible the weight of the Tercel does not compress them to near their center of travel, and you still run the risk of topping them out.

the solution ...

Re: Did the front lift on my t4

how does it drive? any clunks or odd handling? my camry springs topped out the struts when going over speed bumps and potholes at any speed more than a crawl.
It drives amazingly! I am actually suprised at how well it handles the bumps at speed. I dont hear anything out the ordinary so everything ...

Did the front lift on my t4

I finally did the front lift on the tercel. I used a 1990 v6 camry front strut with few modifications. It gave it about a 1.5"-2" lift. Everything bolts right up except I used the stock upper mount and for the bottom, I had to weld some washers to index the stock hardware in the larger holes. The v6 ...

Thanks dlb. I do want to do a mild lift on it though. For the stuff that I get into, it would probably do me some good.

My 83

Fixed a couple of minor things on her and hit the trails. She did pretty good (especially since the shocks are completely blown out and I was bouncin off the bump stops most of the time) for what I usually ride my dirtbike on. I need some suggestions though as to what to do to her. I have a few ...

Re: 1983 Toyota Tercel 4WD DLX - $350 (Los Angeles, CA)

It actually runs pretty good it just needs some suspension work to really be road worthy. But for 350 and it drove all the way from L.A. to Riverside in one piece I'd say it was a bargain! I'm just glad to finally join the ranks :P
