So I'm pretty sure the tercel needs a new motor and I don't have the time or money to do it myself. What do you guys think I should do?; Is it even worth it to put the money into it?

That is not necessarily true. The camry is a much heavier car and the struts will be further compressed when "at rest" than in the Tercel. It is possible the weight of the Tercel does not compress them to near their center of travel, and you still run the risk of topping them out.

how does it drive? any clunks or odd handling? my camry springs topped out the struts when going over speed bumps and potholes at any speed more than a crawl.

I finally did the front lift on the tercel. I used a 1990 v6 camry front strut with few modifications. It gave it about a 1.5"-2" lift. Just took her out for the inagural trail drive after, a few things were fixed of course, and she did great!

It actually runs pretty good it just needs some suspension work to really be road worthy. But for 350 and it drove all the way from L.A. to Riverside in one piece I'd say it was a bargain! I'm just glad to finally join the ranks

What would you recommend as a good offroad/snow tire?

What hub did you use for your steering wheel?
