Taking Applications for free 2WD '84
315K miles, runs very well--needs a little (and I MEAN only a little) work. But it is free to you, *IF you pass the interview process; notes on the process TBD. Why am I giving away my precious, 1 owner Tercel? I am losing my eyesight; I have macular degeneration in both eyes..I will come to the tim...

Steering Column
Hi guys,
I am in need of the steering column upper bracket--NOT A CRACKED ONe!
FYI it sits behind the turn signal assembly and also houses the ignition key assembly.
thanks

Re: No start, VERY frustrated.
One other thing to think about is the vacuum pump TO the EGR valve. There is a little gauzy filter in the top of it, you can replace that or simply blow the carbon out of it..if it is blocked the car can stall. If the EGR valve is original there is a new one on Ebnay for 49 bucks..a toyo brand. If I...

Re: Replacement Key for Pre 2001 Toyotas
I just pulled the door locks out of a car I am parting out. Both tumblers have numbers on them but they do not match. The key worked on both sides and I know they tend to be interchangeable on different cars. Would either number work? Just curious. Hi, I had to replace the back door cylinder and ke...

Re: Rock Auto
I would have chewed the ear off of some punk that acted like that to me, and than demand to talk to his supervisor. They can not afford to piss-off their customers, it is not worth it since you have alternatives to buy auto parts from, his boss needs to know what a prick the guy was, he was not hel...

Re: Powering up for testing
not worth doing the engine swap for an engine with only 110 psi compression, either plan on rebuilding it or wait for a better one. between the 4ac and the 3ac I had in the same car, the 3ac got better fuel economy. if both engines were exactly the same except the 6 cubic inch displacement differen...

Re: Powering up for testing
Peter: I figured the 4AC might even get a little better fuel economy, because it wouldn't have to work quite so hard... Celtgen: that's worth a lot for me! We live in New Mexico but spend a lot of time in Colorado, driving through the San Juans (Red Mountain pass / Million Dollar Highway). I've dri...

Re: Jasper engine
I have called Jasper three times over the last 7 years and they never had any for the 2WD. ??? the 2wd engine is identical to the 4wd engine, the car is almost identical from the firewall forward. why would they tell you the 2wd 3ac is different than the 4wd 3ac? How much are you willing to pay for...

Re: Rock Auto
Thanks Guys, FYI the part is a really simple one; temp gauge the one for the water line not for the radiator..it is the one that goes in right next to the timing cover. I checked and rechecked like 5x before ordering it-their site lists two with little hearts--that mean most ordered--I ordered one o...

Re: Powering up for testing
The funny thing is, almost all the calls this guy got were asking "Can I convert it to 4WD?" Trying to decide if I want to put a 3-AC in it now , or wait for a good 4-AC to come up. For what its worth to you, I have an '84 2WD Automatic with 312K miles on the ORIGINAL engine, Not saying t...

Do you have a differential on the 4WDs...my automatic did this and I had to replace that.

Rock Auto
Hi Guys, Got a couple of questions about dealing with our beloved Rock Auto: 1. Attitude from RA customer service when requesting an exchange or return? 2. If when trying to get an exchange or return, has Rock Auto customer service ever asked you this; " it sounds like you may have installed th...
