I had to reply this old post, when I just somehow got in to it when googling around. I also once had one AL25 but sold it to another owner for spare parts after major engine failure.
I still have the successor, a 4wd Corolla Sportswagon.
All of these somehow converted Tercels are 4WD, and also home ...
