getting that organized sometime next week need to recover from trip to tassie

my tercel had a small amount of mud in the exhaust and a few broken vacuum hoses. but when i move it the steering was really heaving and then once i moved it some where flat to get it on stands to take the rear brake shoes off i found out that it was much worse then i thought they where way down to ...

I finally got around to doing something about the rust at the inside bottom of the hatch. After removal of the inside cover, it appears that most of the water entered through the mounting holes for the "Tercel 4WD" emblem and the perished gasket where the backup light mounts into the ATM....

i'll give that a shot once i get the car back up to the house. i dont think i'll have to do much.

my car ran out of fuel so i figure its the perfect time to check the fuel filter in the tank. but i have no idea how to take it out

it runs fine not even rough not one bit of smoke (using good quality oil helps (castrol magnatec pro 15 40 )) and i wasn't even washing the engine i was getting a ton of mud off from underneath so i could spray the wheel wells. but the oil still confuses me but it runs fine

by water in the block i assume you mean in the cylinders since coolant circulates through the the block normally. what has the car done that tells you something is wrong? judging from what i think you're saying i'm going to go out on a limb and say it's your head gasket but we need more details to ...

my 1983 tercel sr5 4wd has water in the block and i think the head as well and i was wondering if it was gaskets or something worse.

i was just thinking about it has anyone ever taken a tercel to Fraser island (Queensland Australia) because i reckon the tercel would do alright on most of the tracks a part from going up to the cape. just in case everyone's wondering why i thought of it i went up there this holidays.
