Re: It's running!!!!

I'll do that tomorrow...it's pouring rain and to be honest I came in and poured myself a few glasses of wine (and cried a little). Tomorrow I'll deal with this, I can't do anymore today.

Re: It's running!!!!

The plug wires are correct....I marked them when I took them off. It feels much like it did when the bearings went. No power all the time and it feels rough. I will take it to the auto hobby shop on Wed. And test the compression and get them to check the timing....I did hqave the belt off for the cr...

Re: It's running!!!!

OK...perhaps a moral victory only. It still has no power and is running rough. I am so bummed.

It's running!!!!

I am going to move the RV so I can get the car to the road. I'll take it around the block for a test drive then make a run to the gas station. I want to thank everyone who contributed their time and knowledge, I couldn't have done this without you. I am so happy and more then a little proud of myself.

Re: The car is on hold.......

I got the sway bar done and the side brace from the engine to the transmission is on. Just a couple more things to bolt up and it's done. Unfortunatly it has started to rain so the last thing I did was put oil in it. The bushings and braces look fine. I did almost strip out a couple of bolt holes in...

Re: The car is on hold.......

It looks as if I could also loosen the ends of the bar a little to help line everything up. My problem is where the bar attaches to the main engine support beam.

Ha...I thought about using my racheted strap for the bar on the way to the Drs this afternoon. I might make mechanic junior grade yet.

Re: The car is on hold.......

OK, I am back at it. I got the oil pan completely bolted up AND the engine support beam up and bolted to the frame. I struggled with the sway bar but just couldn't get the mount holes lined up before I had to leave for a Dr appt. So, weather permitting I will go out tomorrow and see about the sway b...

Re: The car is on hold.......

yeah, if your heart is beating way too quick the chambers in it won't have time to fill completely with blood. they then contract and push out only a fraction of what they're supposed to, which results in the low blood pressure. best thing to do while waiting for emergency services in those situati...

Re: The car is on hold.......

Yeah, they said they see it in people 18 to 90 plus or minus. Mine was the first spontaneus change back to normal my cardiologist had seen. Their main worry in the ER was my BP...it was very low. My Dr said if it had been any lower my brain would have stopped getting blood flow and oxygen. The main ...

The car is on hold.......

I was working on it yesterday afternoon and started feeling dizzy. Came inside and could barely stand. I called 911 and ended up riding to the ER where they determined that my heart was out of rhythm and my blood pressure dangerously low. They stuck me ICU overnight and decided to shock my heart bac...

I GOT IT!!!

I went and got a dowel this morning and tapped the piston free of the jam it was in. The bearings are on and the cap it torqued on properly. I am now putting the oil pan back on and of course the back bolts are giving me some grief but suddenly progress is being made. I feel like she could be runnin...

Re: #4 Piston really jammed

something has to be wedged in there or the rod end is trapped between crank and block you should be able to twist and push it up (use a long wood dowel) once it is untrapped you will not be able to twist it from top side (head removed) Like use the dowel on the underside of the piston? I can try th...

Re: #4 Piston really jammed
