MR2 booster and NEW brake master cylinder

Just replaced before the tercel died. Spent $70 on the new master and $30 on the booster. Make me an offer. Well worth the investment I promise.

4X32mm Mikuni Bike carb set-up

Selling the carbs, intake manifold, choke cable. Pretty close to plug and play upgrade. I have over $300 into this set up. Carbs are from an 01 katana. Nice power adder. I got 31mpg regularly w/ big tires. When at sea level it would make enough power for the clutch to start slipping at the end of th...

Re: Tires are on! Lovin it.

Thanks guys! I did a lot of reading and poking around before I landed on this set up. It can still be refined some but I feel it is 85% or so right now. I really look forward to the opportunity to take it off road. I am going to need to wait a few months before dropping any more money into it. Tuesd...

Re: Tires are on! Lovin it.

Longer wheel studs seem hard to source. I tried at vato zone and they had none to offer. It would also move the contact point out further and the wheel well actually gets smaller as it goes towards the driver. It rubs on the frame so I don't think I will be messing with that. I was thinking of finis...

Re: Tires are on! Lovin it.

Wish I had some AZ tercel people to 4wheel with now. All I have is a few friends w/ FJ's. Not that I get left behind ever but it would be cool to buddy up and do a run w/ some fellow underdogs.

Re: Bike Carbs 4x32mm

Well the car rides much better on the freeway but not all of the shaking is gone. Must need one of the tie rods replaced as well. Vibrates at almost every speed and increases a lot after 65 but is noticeably less when turning right slightly... weird I think I can feel some play on the passenger side...

Re: Bike Carbs 4x32mm

Clocked 25mpg in the snow 4wheeling. Not bad. Just put new bushings on the steering rack and replaced a thrashed cv axle. Hoping to see a little better highway mileage as it was kinda shaky at speed and feels much smoother. Will be doing a trip to PHX and back soon so I should see. It needs an lighn...

Re: 7af swap possibility... w/ my carbs

the 5afc pan didn't clear either but I just swapped the 3a pan over. Hope this is a possibility. not worried about height and the current motor leaks but I understand the point there. I will make sure to put some good gaskets in there. I will also have to check the pan to make sure the larger crank ...

Re: front spring dilemma.

Yeah I know. The free length was much longer than the tercel. I have always felt the stock setup is a bit soft. If I heat the bottom coil it will pull some of the preload out as I still had to compress it a bit to get it into the strut. It will also bring the ride height down to counteract topping o...

Re: front spring dilemma.

Just chopped two coils off the bottom of a set of cherokee front springs and put them up front. Very stiff ride. Hits full extension on hard bumps so I may shape them a bit to soften them.
