WTB: Cargo Cover

Well, my cargo cover (not original) is pretty much disintegrated, so I am on the hunt for a new one. Preferably gray, black, blue (did they come in blue??). I have an '88 so a cover with the cut out for the third brake light would be a bonus, otherwise I can make the cut myself if it happens to be f...

Re: Looking for a Steering U-Joint (knuckle)

I am happy to report that the part I spotted on amazon is a perfect fit. Here is the link again: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NO4NJHU/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_QdsIEbBW26NNE As Petro's stated, it will not work on the earlier Tercels. But if you have an '85-'88 T, an amazon account, $32.88, and about 1...

Looking for a Steering U-Joint (knuckle)

Steering is binding. It is the u-joint. Been on the hunt. Will one from an 80s MR2 work? Looks pretty darn similar. Anyone have one lying around they could part with?

Stock AM/FM/Cassette stereo from a 1986 Camry.

Hey guys, I have swapped out an old radio on a first generation Camry I just acquired. I know there has been interest concerning OEM 80s Toyota stereos in the past. Would probably work just fine in a Tercel, probably even the same wiring harnesses (don’t know so don’t hold me to that). If anyone is ...

Re: Weber 32/36 Question

Finally got around to my Weber install. Man, what a big difference. Drastic improvement in my case....wow. I would highly recommend it. Much more responsive, more power. The only thing I don’t particularly care for is how much louder the car is now. The tone is definitely improved, but the overall i...

Re: Weber 32/36 Question

Leave out the old pcv/heater spacer plate under the carb(these are usually very crispy) and use a piece of bar stock with a hose nipple in place of the egr valve for pcv vacuum. A drain plug from napa is what I use on the other end. In these pics I just pinched and welded the tube shut https://terc...

I wanted to contribute something that may be helpful by passing on a few suggestions concerning shifter boot replacements. Before going any further, probably the best thing to do is u...

Re: unhappy with 80w-90 gear oil

A couple weeks ago I changed all fluids on my Terc, bumper to bumper. I used Redline MT-90 for the transmission with no issues whatsoever so far. I can't say it shifts better because it was fine before I changed the oil, but it definitely did not make it worse. I'll be using Redline MT-90 as long as...

Re: Weber 32/36 Question

I will be following this thread closely as I am looking at doing the same. How hard/complex is this swap? I have tried reading various threads on it. Whenever I look at the spider web of vacuum hoses, I get intimidated real quick. I am no expert by any means, I know just enough to be dangerous. Is t...

Yes, double-din AM/FM/Cassette player.
