Hi, I'm selling my 1987 T4wd SR5 6 speed. It has 277k miles on it. The body is rusty, but mechanically the car is in great condition. It starts everytime if not left to sit for a long time. It doesnt leak any oil except from the oil pressure sensor. I have put on a lot of new parts since i've owned ...

Re: To TieRod or not to TieRod? And whiplash-ish clunk.

One thing i've noticed on my wagon is that clunk noise and like others have said, it's less severe when in 4wd.. I've been planning on adjusting the backlash on my front and rear diff to see if this is the source of the noise many people are dealing with. As time goes by the ring and pinion wear aga...

Re: Welded on chassis, now engine cranks, but wont start

Found It! It was a stupid problem.. the fuel pump had lost its prime, the carb ran out of fuel, and then it got air locked. I filled up the bowl in the carb, it started then i hooked up the inlet line to the fuel pump(after sucking the fuel up some) and it kept running. Been fine since.. They always...

Re: Welded on chassis, now engine cranks, but wont start

Yeah i did have it right next to where i was working, but who knows if something just took a crap from sitting for 3 weeks or more. pretty sure the dist parts are original.(275k) I had pulled the plug wire from cylinder 1 and grounded it to the engine lift hook and it was a thin purple spark line. I...

Welded on chassis, now engine cranks, but wont start

I did some welding on my wagon and i had welded for a couple of minutes before i realized that i forgot to disconnect the battery terminals. I was welding in a rear panard bar bracket, so i've had the gas tank out for a couple of weeks. i was just wondering if anyone else had made a similar stupid m...

Re: Intermittent Overheating Issue

When you install the thermostat check to see if there is a little hole with metal plug in it. You need to install that at the top op the opening. I know matco has this little coolant system bleeder busket that you can put onto the radiator and run the engine to open the thermostat then just wait for...

Front Bumper Cover/ Re enforcement

I was involved in an accident back in early may and i am in need of a front bumper cover/ re-enforcement assembly. I have been having a hard time finding one or someone who wants to part with theirs. I would rather buy a used assembly before i have to buy new stuff. I'm also looking for the left hea...

Re: '87 T4wd

Sorry to hear you have to scrap your wagon. I was wondering if it would be possible to get both headlight assemblies, the left turn signal assembly, and the front bumper cover/bracket assembly. Some kid turned left in front of me and messed up the front pretty good. I was wondering if you would be a...
