Re: Shock Absorbers

I used the KYB GR-2 Series back in 2010 and have been happy (also used its front strut inserts). See https://tercel4wd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5829&p=42970&hilit=shocks#p42970 Note that I replaced almost ALL of the bushings in the rear as well - see https://tercel4wd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?...

Re: The end of the tunnel is near!!

HA! The car was sold in St. Louis County, 6 or 7 miles from me! The location is now a Mitsubishi dealer. When Bianco Toy closed, the new owner moved it further SE in the County as that area grew. I wonder when it migrated to Highlandville (Springfield/Branson)? Did the original owner move down ther...

Larry -
Gotta say - apart from the unbelievable talent you keep exhibiting - looking at the photo of the engine/tranny hanging there - they simply dwarf the equivalent of our Tercs! I wonder the Chevy's separate and together weights?

Re: My new truck with less than 1% plastic

People worked on their own tires at the station? Sounds dangerous! Mike - Well, the backstory was that the station owner was a (then) b-i-l of mine, and also owner of the Mobil distributorship (still is). Each time, the customer was a $ valued $ commercial account of who had multiple trucks they ga...

Re: My new truck with less than 1% plastic

Ohh, but I have a couple of stories about split-rims! I pumped gas at night and on Sundays of the early years ('70s) of the bike shop and each time a customer wanted split-rims mounted, being untrained, I refused - but said it was OK if they did it themselves. I also insisted they use the safety cha...

Re: I lent my Corolla 4wd to an auto website for road test and you won't believe what happened next!

Matt - I give on the error; is it something Oz-related? Overall, I think your car came off pretty darn well! The first thing I noticed from just your photo is the HORRIBLE rear visibility of the C-HR; maybe because I still parallel park and consider rear visibility paramount? The article mentions th...
