Re: E85/Alcohol fuel

basically you would have to change fuel filter more often, ive seen v8 cars on e85 with original fuel lines and tank, a very high compression engine would benefit a lot from that fuel also very advanced timing, id love to try but no e85 here

Re: Bike Carbs 4x32mm

do you know how to read plugs? that is very useful when performance tuning of carbs, have you advanced a little bit more than normal, carbs seem to like it

Re: K&N vs stock air filter?

they are a good upgrade and best of all they are reusable, just trim the top part of the filter canister to leave the filter more exposed for better results

Re: 4AGE swap into 85 4WD

@petros thankyou it would help me a lot

i raced my tercel and i can attest that brakes are inadecuate, good fluids a good set of hawk hp plus pads and everything up to spec it will out break many modern cars, with the update of course i did it like 6 or 7 years ago

Re: so im starting a new project

ohh btw the stock pulley weighs 1489 grams, this one has 304 and i still can machine off like 5 mm off and the keyway, so im confident it could go mid 200 grams, since its for the street im not taking any more weight, the one i use for racing is underdrive and weighs close to 100 grams

Re: oil starved to the head?

there are sime 3ac engines that are used in tokio taxis that are a bit different since they are mounted transversaly, maybe they used a low quality head gasket and the oil passages are too small, i had an engine over heat for that

Re: Bike Carbs 4x32mm

i tuned a vw rabbitt with a cross flow head a long time ago, and no matter what we did the car flooded, took a look in a bike the carbs came from, meassured the angle and then we had it running perfectly

Re: Bike Carbs 4x32mm

and remember those type of carbs have to be pointing at a slight angle, iirc 30° so the float can seat level, and try to get some velocity stacks it will improve on the low end and up top, not that youd want to be up top too much on a stock head
