I took the waterpump alternator belt off and the noise went away. The water pump has some play in the wheel and the alternator does make a little noise when I spin by hand. Hate to think I need to replace both.

When at idle the car has a scraping type noise coming from the engine area. Is there a fan or something I should look at to oil up or grease. The car is not moving when this noise so its definately engine or electric motor noise of some kind. thanks for the help in advance

I would love to have the various parts as mine is still stock. I don't want the headache of title swap here in the states without proper papers. I am close but its a ferry boat ride across to Port Angeles. So put me on the list for your IF list.... need tires/wheel, bumpers, lift, rack.

used some wd40 on it and did figure eights... seems to be fixed for the moment. Wish I had realized how easy it was to access that piece in the first place. Thanks for the support and persuading me to the right answers.

junk yard didn't send the part and left me hanging for couple weeks... grr. Still need this part if anybody has a spare

is that a custom rear bumper with hitch? my tercel is down waiting on a intermediate steering link in shipping (fingers crossed its the right part this go around)... is your intact and manual?

I could use one since they said my low speed jet? needs to be rebuilt

found another part so waiting to see if this one fixes my issue. At least the junk yard guy knew there was a different part for powersteering this time

Been calling junk yards the last two days (car-parts.com ) and nobody has it. Had one sent last week that was two short... Car been sitting at repair shop for two weeks now. its a solid shaft with a U joint on the steering shaft.. approx 15 inch long. Mine is frozen in one direction, so the car steers very hard and clunky

Well toyota says they discontinued this part .. ugh. So I am looking for some help to find the part. Its for a non powersteering wagon 1983 4wd.

Been trying the junk yards with no luck

I need some assistance... how do I remove the struts from my hatchback rear door. I don't see a simple ring clip and prying with screwdriver is leaving dents and scratches with no results.
