Re: Fully restored Blackhawk CO

Hberdan, long time no see! Nice to see you still check in here sometimes. Howdy! Thanks for the note. It's good to see that the forum is still up and running, and folks are still excited about the wagons. I've always liked these little cars, but don't have the motivation to acquire one again, altho...

Re: Fully restored Blackhawk CO

Looks like he's dropped the price a bit, if I was interested I'd contact him and try an even lower offer. Colorado has very strict emissions, so I'd be sure that the sale includes a guarantee of passing or all money back.

Fully restored Blackhawk CO

Hello,
This is not my car, but I thought someone here with very deep pockets might be interested in it:

Re: We have lost one of our own.

I do not check in very frequently, but had a chance to view the forum today, and am sad to hear of his passing. Like many others here, I communicated directly with Tom on more than one occasion; he was always friendly and helpful.

Re: Massive landslide in my neigborhood kills some residence

Wow!
I am glad you and your family are all ok, Peter. I survived the flood in Boulder Canyon last fall, with some minor damage to my house. Mother Nature can be a powerful force indeed.
Be very careful!

Re: Free headlight and turn signal bulbs-pickup only Boulder

Howdy! Good to hear from you! When I sold my 87 last year I included all the spare parts with it; I was just cleaning out a shelf recently and found these bulbs. There are not enough of them to be worth the shipping expenses. On the last day of 2011 I bought a 2012 Subaru Forester base model. First ...

Free headlight and turn signal bulbs-pickup only Boulder CO

I have a few free Tercel wagon composite 9004 hl bulbs, turn signal bulbs , and etc. bulbs that went with my recently departed 1987 wagon. Might be useful to a local wagon driver. The 9004s are used but worked when they were very carefully removed from the vehicle. Other bulbs are new in packages. A...

Steve McQueen's off-road racer for sale

Hello again, friends, I miss my old 87 wagon, but I thought you might appreciate this special as well: http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=LA0713-158205 "This historically significant pickup was once owned by actor Steve McQueen and brought to life by designer and motoring visio...

Re: government regs wrecked the gas can now too!

So, just drill a vent hole in your EPA plastic gas can, and plug it with an appropriately sized natural cork, or one resistant to oil/gas. This will cost you an extra dollar at the most, and will restore not only your free flow of wonderful gasoline, but allow you to say that at least the can vent w...

Re: End of the line!

Thanks for all the nice comments, I will indeed check in once in a while. The camaraderie on the site is excellent! I wish I'd been able to go to one of your Pacific NW Toyota gatherings, would've been fun. Thanks, also, for that engine offer, Peter, but I'm gonna pass. I can't do an engine installa...

End of the line!

Don't know what to really say, but after 17 years, 3 Tercel wagons, and over 300,000 miles driving them, I'm hanging it up. I got my first Tercel wagon, a used 1986, in 1995, was hooked right away, and have owned 2 more since. I love the way they drive, especially in mountain snows, and have very fo...
