Re: "EL" switch?
Mine has always worked, so I don't know where it connects to the transmission... You know how to put the car into EL, right? You have to have it in 4wd, and then go as if you are shifting into first, but push it over to the left even further, and it will go into a special slot, and then up. It take...

Re: AE86/Tercel(?) Stainless Braided BL kit
the front ones are the same, now the rear ones are too short, ive tried The one line in the rear is too short? Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but I was under the impression that the Tercel rear half was identical to the Corolla (it looks pretty spot on by my quick measurments)? Not trying to argue ...

Re: "EL" switch?
Ok, so some further digging shows the "EL" switch is on the top of the trans in the same area as the "4WD" switch. I'll be able to get back under there in a day or two and see if it works.

AE86/Tercel(?) Stainless Braided BL kit
I sold my GTS and have new rubber lines on my Tercel so these are up for sale. I was told the Tercel and AE86 used the same brake lines but I'm not 100% sure so.....? It's a 5 piece set, brand new. I'm not sure who made them as they came with my last GTS as a spare set. I also have a new WIX fuel fi...

Re: "EL" switch?
The "4WD" light comes on when shifted into 4WD but, there is also a light that says "EL" on the upper left portion of the dash display that is not lighting up when I shift into EL. Here's a quick (read: poor) pic showing the location on the dash: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: My New '86 SR5 + Trip to Reno, NV
Nice rig! For a quick second I thought to look out in the driveway and make sure mine was still there- almost the exact same car (mine is not an SR5)
Beautiful pics BTW.

"EL" switch?
I've done some digging here and on the Autozone site trying to find where this plugs in on the transmission. If it has already been answered, SIA. I crawled under the car for a quick moment today to tighten a heatshield. I noticed that I had a connector hanging by the drivers side of the trans. I co...

Re: Looking for a 4AC in the PNW
No problem. The Tercel and Corolla share quite a few parts......I'm looking at suspension set ups right now. Wish I could spring for a coil over set up- can't afford or justify it though.sdoan wrote:Hey M1Marty,

Re: FLEX
It's always important to stretch before any excercise program. "Excercise" in this case is to attempt to attain the unheard of speed of..........75mph!
Hope this thing doesn't get a cramp at those speeds.

Here's a few quick pics of the Turtle flexing in the yard. Nothing crazy but, I was pretty happy with it. Full droop, full stuff- no rub. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e123/aaron12b/BreasPictures045.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e123/aaron12b/BreasPictures044.jpg http://i38.photobucket.c...

Re: Heater blower speed control
There are 3 resistors that control the blower (the high setting doesn't use one) between the switch and the motor. It's been a long time since I've worked on one of these so I don't recall what each one looks like. Should be fairly easy to figure out though. Sometimes the contact points on the switc...
