Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but I was under the impression that the Tercel rear half was identical to the Corolla (it looks pretty spot on by my quick measurments)? Not trying to argue ...

Ok, so some further digging shows the "EL" switch is on the top of the trans in the same area as the "4WD" switch. I'll be able to get back under there in a day or two and see if it works.

No problem. The Tercel and Corolla share quite a few parts......I'm looking at suspension set ups right now. Wish I could spring for a coil over set up- can't afford or justify it though.
