I think that I would just as soon head off to one of the innumerable nat'l forests in the area, thank you...although one time, I camped in Death Valley, that was cool as hell actually, and there was nary a single person there except for me and two pals. And this very strange lizard with one of those...

I tell ya, I would KILL to have an early 70s Datsun sedan, been looking to lay my hands on one of those suckers for a while! damn Minnesota and our lack of cool cars. That must be a really wierd feeling, to drive around at the track, silently....would be somewhat disconcerting, I would think, taking...

I wan eet! that seems like a not unreasonable price for something that is in good shape...hm. But, do they have a low gear? Maybe I could get along without it... I should be the first guy to have a Tercel, Civic, and Justy, all 4wd, side by side, that would be cool. Oh and that Mazda 323 I'll take o...

Well I have never really seen one in person, but I tell ya, they are so cute! they are smaller than the Tercel, which is hilarious to think about, but I think I might like to play around with something like that...I did some research briefly and it looks like they still made them in 93? anyway for a...

Yet another person who has purchased a nice non-rusty Tercel, and I have to buy the RUSTIEST one in the entire state of Minnesota.....what a deal.

Is wood going to hold up for the suspension? I'm sure it would, for a time anyway, a couple years?

I know this guy, who breeds hunting dogs and drives all over to deliver them, and go hunting, and his new hobby is mountain lion hunting. So for years he was telling me that he bought just about every remaining early 80s Subaru and they kept rusting out, but they would go offroad like crazy....now j...

Driving around today, I saw this old granny driving a PRISTINE condition tiny tiny tiny car with the Subaru logo on the front, which I ASSUME is a Justy that others have mentioned from the early 80s. Looked like a new car....unheard of in Minnesota...in the winter no less. Speaking of which, my mom ...

The omni-present thread...I like to start it at every board I go to, it yields interesting and sometimes hilarious results....I will start... What have you found in your car? When I bought the Tercel I found an Asian coin under the back seat, it is "500" but other than that, I can't tell. ...

last time I dealt with the broken bleeder situation, it was on my Volvo, and I learned the hard way that I have two choices: a ) screw around with it forever, eventually removing it from car and trying to drill it out etc etc and basically screwing it up completely, thus requiring me to mail order a...

Can you get a grinder up in there well enough to grind some flats or something on the plugs to get some visegrips on there or something? something to clamp the visegrips on like crazy, then hammer it till it starts to turn? That is, of course, assuming that they aren't crazy crazy tight/stuck.

Hmm...clever! I have this pressurised bleeder thing that I bought for another car, you screw it onto the master cyl reservoir and it has a bottle you fill with brake fluid, then basically you pressurise the thing with a tire or something..works cool but I can't ever use it on Toyotas cuz the cap doe...
