Ok, guys, this may be a dumb question, but where should I route the wiring for maplights ?? I got a unit out of a Cressida wagon at the junkyard. Wiring it up should be pretty simple, but I want to be sure to do it without taking too much of the car apart. I'm thinking wiring into the hot for the do...

I am planning on going back to the yard tomorrow....need to snag a couple more trim pieces, and going to take some liquid wrench or some such stuff and try to get that trailer hitch off. I will look at the crossmember and see if I can get it for you. Do you just need the crossmember ? or are there o...

3A-C, there's an '85 model SR5 at the junkyard here in Nashville. I've taken some trim pieces and the roof rack off of it, and tried to get the trailer hitch, but haven't been able to get it off yet. What is it you're needing ?? I think everything under the front end is still there.

Takza, That should help in any type vehicle, right ?? My wife's 99 Tahoe is having fuel gauge problems that started suddenly, and we think it may have been due to contaminated fuel.

We get some here, but it's not much. The wonderful TDOT ( TN Dept. of Transportation ) has taken to spraying the roads with a brine solution even at the mention of the words "snow" or "ice" in the weather forecast, though....so we're getting more of it that I would like. I'm sure...

You're right, 3A-C......rust isn't usually an issue here. There are two Terc wgns. at the junkyard I frequent now....both bodies are pretty much totally rust free, and really not even banged up too bad. I got some trim parts off the SR5 wagon that my car was missing, and even got a factory roof rack...

Pegger, have you seen the car ? I've toyed around with the idea of getting an MR2 just to play around with. I might be interested in that one if it's a decent car and the rust problem isn't too bad. Would be in line behind you , of course, if you have interest in buying it. I'd have to make a decisi...

Can anyone tell me if there's a difference in the cargo cover between a 2wd and 4wd wagon ?? I got one at the junkyard out of a 2wd, but the fit is off just a bit, maybe 1/2 to 1" . The back seats, when locked in place, push against the cover causing it not to be able to lay flat.

I've never had any experience with a water pump, other than replacing one. I'd say it's a good bet that's what the problem is, though.

I had my cooling fan go out about a month ago.....the car was sitting at idle, and I'd gone back in the house for something. I got distracted, and when I came out about 10minutes later, there was steam everywhere and the temp gauge was pegged out . I had to relace the radiator since the top cap had ...

I tried the screwdrivers in the hole ( as directed in the FSM ) , after I found the hole, in the back of the backing plate......but that's like doing surgery in the dark. I tried prying it off with a screwdriver and hammer and crow bar (small version)....still nothing ! Emergency was not eng...
