One thing to try is to eliminate vacuum at the source to see if the idle comes back. If it does, work backwards to track the issue down to a certain hose or componant diaphragm.

actually, i did manage to get it to come down, i think far enough to pass emmisons.. it just took 3 cans of carb cleaner... its still a little on the high side, and the hoses that go to the charcoal canister are new... the previous owner replaced them when he got rearended and was having problems ...

The title pretty much says it. What I have done is tightened tthe carb down and now there are no air leaks in the carb, and that helped a little, it looks like there are 2 sensors, one near the choke mechanism, and the other down on the opposite side, and they are connected with the choke mech all ...
