Someone should definitely save this beauty

Post by deejay1272 »

Located on the Olympic Penninsula.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1987 Toyota Tercel SR5 4WD wagon. 181,000 miles. Interior and exterior both in excellent condition. Engine is running rough and will need to be replaced soon. Blue gray exterior, sun roof, velvet edged upholstery. $650.00 or make offer.

"I've had it checked out by two good local mechanics who both recommended engine replacement. The last mechanic checked cylinder compression and said all 4 cylinders are low; 135 when they should be around 175, but all 4 cylinder compression levels are even."

Good chance that a week of soaking the rings with Seafoam, followed by an oil change and an Italian tune up would bring up the compression.

Checking valve timing would be a good idea.

Fitting those 13 inchers with cement tires and throwing 'er into the Hudson would do some good?!?
It's a scientific fact that in a twin engine aircraft, when one engine fails there is always enough power in the remaining engine to make it all the way to the crash site.

I've been wanting a T4WD like this one, but they just don't show up like this down here, what a shame. If it popped up here, I'd be all over it.
