Wow - what part of OZ is this from?
Must be the part that has really tall 'roos, huh?
Doesn't look like there is one on the Sammy part, though.

comes from a little part of the USA called Bloomington, Illinois. Tom, this would be a great accompaniment to Goldie!

HA - HA !
You really got me on that one, Matt !
In my defense, there is NO mention of the CL location. I saw the "nz" in the e-address and thought possibly it was NZ.
Although - while the steering wheels were not visible, I should have noticed that the truck was parked on the wrong side of the street...
And Bloomington, IL, is just up the road a piece from St. Louis (160 miles), on the way to Chicago...hmmm...

I wonder why he did not keep that great all aluminum twin cam Suzuki engine and instead kept the obsolete 8-valve 3ac engine.

I'm guessing that that year Samuri had a separate transfer case? So he ran the driveshaft off the T4WD trans to that and then used the Samuri driveline?

This one is back up, with more photos... :(

It is now minus the bashguard. I have a feeling it is the low mileage (154K) car I posted back in 2008 when it was intact. I was going to go look at it, but the owner never answered my emails as to location and meeting. The only one he sent said something about using it in a demo derby.

Geez that is ugly, it appears it was all rusted out. look how he cut out the front fenders, also it appears he rolled it (perhaps more than once).

Ugly as it is...that beast would go anywhere...and think about the potential overall low range with the Tercel gearbox in EL...and the Susuki transfer in low range?

Yeah, I'm not sure I get this one. Take two good, uniquely applicable vehicles and "mash: them into one diminished less functional vehicle. I think sometimes the answers to stuff like this is: "because they have the skills to do so" sort of like those 4x4 Firebirds and IROCS I see around the country during my wandering. Why? Because they can...:)
