Middle Tennessee here, just west of Nashville. If any of you are coming through this part of the country, give me a shout.

I don't know how rare these cars are, but I'm assuming there's not that many of them around any more. However, I see an occasional one out on the road, and my local junkyard has had 3-4 on their lot since back in the summer.

1984 Tercel 4wd Dlx. - 192K miles.
1985 Tercel 4wd SR5 - 185K miles (not running)
1986 Tercel 4wd Dlx - 210K miles (dd)

Only 3 to go for the whole set ! lol

Heh. I won't be organizing any gettogethers any time soon.. Hard to officially organize everything when you are only 16
There are some great camping spots in Colorado you'd all probably enjoy if you like fishing, boating, and maybe some offroad. Nebraska has a few fun destinations as well. We may be going thru a drought, but Colorado still has a great (withering) welcoming hand to tourists. Just make sure your car won't die at a mile high if you want to come to Colorado, at least in my area or the area of the fun places.
If anyone wants to organize a get together I might be able to attend if it isn't too far away. Of course, my folks would want to come if we could go, but don't worry, they are avid Tercel-freaks. When they told me I was getting one, I thought, "Jeeze.. One of those old things? Man.. The groups going to hate this.." but even after that first day of driving it, I WON'T GO BACK. I mean, I loved them before I knew I was getting one, but didn't particularly want to drive one. Friends response to it? "DUDE! IT'S THE GHETTO CAR! KICK ARSE!" lol.
But at any rate... lol. Sterling Reservoir is a fun place to camp, if you can tolerate pissy rangers and off-level camping spots. Horsetooth is just down the road from me and offers some fun boating in the late spring and the duration of the summer. Even though it has been anywhere from 20-75 feet down for a while hehehe. Horsetooth has some pretty good camping spots, and is situated in a pretty little valley. Just a few miles off of Fort Collins, so you could visit CSU if you wanted, cruise Old Town, etc. And if you are Churchgoers, I could recommend Timberline Church during a visit (in reference to that, it is a massive church, but as we all say, If you don't feel the love there, it's you) There aren't a lot of off-roading destinations too close to Ft. Collins, but again, its still a nice place to go. You could also visit Estes Park, its only maybe 35 miles from Horsetooth. The route there is very nice, but don't drive it if you don't like steep dropoffs and raging rivers hehe. Rocky Mountain National Park isn't far off either, and let me tell you, that is one of the most beautiful places I've ever laid eyes upon.
Lol... It's like I'm tryin o sell you all on it.

I've camped at Sterling....three times! It's not my style of camping, but it makes a great place to stop either on the way OUT from Minnesota, or the final push BACK to Minnesota, cuz there are showers, and everytime I go there, we are basically the only ones there. After a week in the car, or a week in the woods, it's nice to hit those showers they have in that huge facility at Sterling I tell ya what! I assume it gets busy on the weekends, I must have gotten lucky.

How many people in Southren or Central California? I'm right between Valencia and Bakersfield, driving distance to L.A. or Orange County, or north to or above Bakersfield.

Im down San Diego way and I'd like to adventually get a group of Tercelnauts to go camping down below San Felipe,Baja. B) Im probably helping a friend this fall who's doing some pre-runn'in at the Baja 1000,So that'll be an opertune time to hang-out afterwards...drive too some of my old camping areas, mabey find newer, more secluded ones.
I think a good way to go about it would be: Everyone meet at the border...drive to San Felipe...stay there for two days(hotel)...drive-down to the camping areas for 3-4 days...on the way back stay one night in S.F. too clean-up before heading home, something like that :)
