Yet Another Hesitation Post

So I too am having problems with hesitation and surge, particularly at start and after warming up on the highway it gets real bad when run on non highway speeds.

So there are many posts about many things on this topic and I have read most of them but I have questions.

How do I test parts to see if they hold vacuum? is there a tool I need does Auto Zone lend them out?

I read about people getting JY parts from newer model 4a Corollas what years of corolla can supply these parts?
