A bit of Southern California...

Post by tercel4wdrules »

These are just some pictures I've taken of different places I've been over the last few months. Enjoy!

These were taken from Cal-State University, Los Angeles when I was there for 4 weeks. The mountains you see are the San Gabriel Mountains.

This is a view looking into Monterey Park, CA from CSULA.

Random picture of Downtown LA from 7 miles away.

These two pics were taken on the Rio Hondo Bike Trail.

This is Santa Monica beach. I really like the mountain views.

This is Long Beach... not as great as Santa Monica, at least in my opinion.

Well, this is all I got for now... all I can say now is LA is not as flat as I though it was.

Maybe you could take a run up into Beverly Hills and show us where the Clampets live? Then the Hollywood Hills? Then up into some canyons for the bike races?

Nice pics.

Thanks... Who are the Clampets? I want to go through Hollywood Hills using both Mulholland Dr. & Sunset Blvd. Nice views up there or so I've heard. Sunset ends at PCH. There's an uphill back up from PCH to Sunset and it looked very neat. Would be fun with the Terc, but there's an even better ride: Yerba Buena Rd. in Malibu. This road is BRUTAL. If I ever go up there I'll be sure to take lots of pics. On this road you'll most likely get brake fade going downhill. It goes several thousand feet into Malibu Hills. :)

Old TV show about some hill type people who struck it rich with oil and moved to Beverly Hills. Need to watch them reruns...say hi to Daisy Mae for me. And ole Ned and Granny. Jeff (?) and the banker guy and his sec. Did I leave anyone out?

I've heard it's real interesting up in the mountains to the south of LA...I'm talking way up there though.
