There are two major developers of electric sports cars, one is Tesla Motors and the other one is Wrightspeed, Inc. http://www.wrightspeed.com I would imagine these cars to sell in the neighborhood of $150-200k. The Wrighspeed X1 prototype is worth I believe around $150k. It beat the crap out of a Ferrari 360 Spyder and a Porsche Carrera GT in a drag race. 0-60 in an blazing fast 3 seconds. There's a video of it on the site. Just think of WICKED acceleration and almost instantaneous torque available at your disposal!

Thats because an electric motor has peak torque at JUST off 0 RPM. 1 RPM is max torque.
