Damn you!!!!

I would almost kill for a lift. My neighbors love me for the fleet of unmoving Toyotas in the driveway. I have to park the 'Rolla with the tires barely on the drive and my ass-end sticking out about a foot.

If I had somewhere to put it, I would consider the lift for sale. My smallish garage wouldn't hold it and my wife would kill me if I even THOUGHT about it. She already hates the air comp. noise. And all of the cars. Maybe even me....

Nice pics though.

And it worked.

What part of the Springs you in?
Capacity?
Price?

The school's 2-post is a 9500... Able to lift our Excursion, just not enough extensions to not put some pressure on the running boards.

Whats happened to your rear corner?

I will post a link and info about the lift under the for sale forum. as for the rear corner, I bought it like that. heh. Plan is to cut of the piece from my parts car and replace that corner. the rear fenderwell is rusted through so i want to get that done as it sucks exaust fumes sometimes. The lift is 10K lb and the extentions will easily lift and excursion the will adjust to about a foot above the arm.

maybe you should buy a shop and some land to put all your stuff in. Then maybe your neighbors won't complain so much. :D

I would love to have my own shop but dont have the funds etc. I may start working from home in the fall and try and build a customer base and then open a small shop at some point. Right now I could use the money with a baby due in July (will be our first child).
the city has started to enforce some zoning laws too... so far its been ok but don't want any problems. My loss, Someone elses gain I guess.

Hey Southpaw, nice shop setup you have! My dream is to have a lift for my shop someday. Unfortunetely real estate is so expensive where I live, all I can afford right now is a condo. Avg house price here is $560k. Looks like your engine build is coming along well too. Hopefully you still have time to tinker with your Tercel after your baby is born!

Congrats!
Both my older sisters just had little girls. They are a blessing.

Heh, the average house in my neighborhood is $600k US right now. But then again, they average 4500 square feet floorspace and 3-6 acres of land.

Land? You want expensive?
35 acres for sale! Prime land! $75,000! Give or take. $2000+ per acre is pretty common. The closer to any city you get, the higher it jacks up. There was a 2 acre lot for sale in downtown Fort Collins for $40,000 if I remember right a few months ago.

Nice paintjob! What did you use? Looks pretty thick, but even.
Remind us what all you have done?

Engine done and Back into Tercel

Post by Soutthpaw »

Well I got the engine back into the car today, now just need to hook up everything and put new half shafts on etc. here is an easy to install everything. just jack the car up, put the engine and trans on a creeper and roll it under the car then reconnect the cherry picker and lit it up to the mounts
