I've got low compression!!

Post by Carguylen »

I just had a tune up done, and my mechanic says 3 of the cylinders are good, but the #2 cylinder is only 50 lbs. I know this is not good, but it can last a while with some maintainence? Is there some additive that may un-stick the valves??
Any ideas?
Thanks

You can use something like SeaFoam or M.M.Oil right in the crankcase. Just drain out about 1/2 to 1 QT of oil and pour in the cleaner additive. Run it for about 20-50 miles and then change the oil and filter. The only issue is that this will clean out a lot of deposits in the engine that may have been plugging leaks from the inside.....
