Tercel on Car Talk show today

I don't know how many of you guys listen to Car Talk on NPR, today one guy called up from wyoming with an '86 Tercel (don't know if it was a wagon) which was burning a lot of oil. (blue smoke, etc.)

Anyway, it was neat to hear one of our cars on there!

I still freak everytime I see the wagon on 'King Of Queens' early seasons.

Heh... About 2 years ago I was listening to Car Talk with my dad and they went through a list of reliable cars, and one of their top 20 was the "Ugly little 80's Tercel wagon". They commented on how it keeps running if you keep feeding it new oil and gas and how the optional 4wd was handy on the ice. They also mentioned the Geo Metro sedans, but warned that they don't handle accidents well.
