My new Weber K740 kit arrived today!! I can't wait to get it on the car. I'll probably get it done this weekend if things go according to plan. I'll let you guys know how it works out and how my driveability/power/economy is affected.

I love getting nice things in the mail  . It's like Christmas as a kid all over again. Heh, until I look at how much I spent on the damn thing. :( Way more than I bought my car for!

I do beleive RELIEF is in sight....no more complaints about NO POWER and NO GAS MILEAGE.......not that it ever bothered me or anything...... :D ;)

Great news GTS! Hopefully your install will go smooth.

The Rover has not dropped below 30mpg. We have averaged 30.5mpg the last 3 weeks! This is basically country road driving, 40 miles one way. The longest non-stop stretch is approx 15 miles. The mileage should be better if it was highway driving.

I am extremely pleased with our Weber.

I am curious on the instructions, connecting the vacuum advance hose. My distributor has 2 lines and I t'eed both lines from the carb. How does the instructions show to connect the vacuum advance?

Good luck on the install.
Once your over the hill, you just pick up speed. <><

Hey Dirtmagnet, thanks for your good luck wishes! I'll be refering to the instructions that you wrote up as I go through the process.

I've only taken a quick look at the instructions so far, and they seem very generalized. I don't think they mentioned any specifics about a single engine type. I will take a closer look though, and will even scan in the pages to email to you if you would like.
