i just bought another tercel, its a 83 sr5 but very dirty inside
it was sitting for a year but started right up, it has the 3A-C engine and my other terc has the 3A. it seem that the 83 has more power even though the engine
has 120000 kms more on it and its leaking every where. my other tec is in good shape but its way too slow. i was wondering what the difference between the
2 is and if is shoud rebuild it and put in my good car.
thanx for the help

What year and type is your other tercel? Maybe your 3A engine has had a harder life than the 3AC? Normally I don't think there is any hp difference. Is your 3A well tuned and maintained? Maybe it just needs a bit of work. If the compression etc. is good, I'd just stick with the 3A and work on getting it running well. Rebuilds can get pretty pricey.

yeah i know my car is not tuned properly, i'm going to change the timing belt, new wires and plugs and time it right and we'll see,
today i switched my dash kluster for the sr5 to my other one and amazingly all the plugs are the same and i don't have to spend any money on a tachometer.
i'm also installing the clinometer. i love it the car has already paid off.
