Wondering if there is a list somewhere of older cars that used this type of system...looking for a 4 cylinder econobox type car...or sports sedan, etc.
What years of the Suzuki Swift had the single port FI?????
What other cars had this system? Geo Metro? Any Toyotas? Nissans? Mazdas? Chevys? Dodge? ETC?
Anyone...........
older single point fuel injection systems?
It hink there are actually quite a few cars with these. Its just the issue of what the computer ties into. The beauty of the Swift/Metro setup is that it is independant.
If we want to do an ignition systems upgrade as well... Then maybe it could be worked out... But at a certain point it starts looking easier to put in something like a A-FE.

All 1989-97 Metros and Swifts (excluding GT and GTi) have the TBI. The 1998 and newer models only had TBI on the 3-cylinder. 1989-91 Swifts are the easiest for converting. I'd avoid anything newer than 1995, OBD2 is more complicated.
The 80s non-turbo Subarus had TBI.
And 1988-91 Civics and CRXs had dual injector TBI on the lesser models.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other Japanese cars with TBI.
I know GM made quite a few cars with TBI, but I wouldn't poison a Tercel with GM parts.
I'm still waiting for someone to send me a 1989-91 Swift harness.

Hey thanks...looking for a car to mod on but need either a carb or the single point FI. Guessing that the Chevy Sprint had the same setup? The EPA site only mentions FeedbackFuelSystem, not SinglePointFI or Carb for cars in these years.
Give a boy a gun-give a biatch a cell phone-and pretty soon you almost got yourself a police state.

The early Sprints ('88 and older) had a carb or multiport injection on the turbo models. No Sprints were sold in the US after '88. The newer Sprints in Canada were exactly the same as the Metros, as far as I know.takza wrote: Hey thanks...looking for a car to mod on but need either a carb or the single point FI.
