So...I have a two-toned frost white Vibe. It's my first cat and it used to be a rental in Travis County.

i generally loathe pontiac stuff (with the exception of late 70's trans ams/firebirds) but your vibe looks sporty as all hell. very nice.

Re: 2006 Pontiac Vibe base, FWD "EPONA"
It is not really a Pontiac, the Vibe is made in the Toyota Matrix factory. I know people that own one of each, both love their cars (one could not stand the idea of buying something with a Japanese label so they got the vibe, and have not regretted it). The other loves her matrix so much she will not even let her husband drive it.
I have been in both, very nice cars, I would prefer the AWD version for where I live.

i believe AWD was only offered on the auto trans matrix/vibe, which seems like a crying shame.

Yes, not only is AWD for automatics ONLY, but it's coupled with the relatively gutless 1ZZ engine, and it's a four-speed.
The Vibe was actually built in the NUMMI factory with Corollas. The ZZ family of engines also succeeds the A family.

4 speed is better than our 3 speed at least.

Re: 2006 Pontiac Vibe base, FWD "EPONA"
Also the Canadian owners say the traction of FWD and AWD (really 4WD system) are about the same and the 4WD has little advantage, if any.
