engine dampener
Pulled my block out of my tercel and the engine dampener is shot. No luck finding a new and I have been told they are discontinued. Can I have the stock one rebuilt? Or adapt another one to fit? Anyone come across this issue and correct it already?

Re: engine dampener
Are you talking about the shock absorber? Or the crankshaft pulley?
If the engine shock absorber, most members have just put the bad one back on and left it as it was.

Re: engine dampener

i think someone else built one using some springs

If you are talking about the little shock on the PS of the motor - as others have commented, it is definitely NLA.
sdoan made one from springs, but sadly, his photos have been deleted - and he has not revisited in just over a year. You could send him a PM.
See viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4917&hilit=shock
I made one using Moog shackle bushings and it has worked quite nicely, although I dunno how it would compare to an OE one.

So far as I know, no one else has made one.

Re: engine dampener
Thank you I think I will go with the MB shock absorber and adapter. I hate putting broken pieces back into my car.
