Bounced into this while looking for pictures of the bellhousing of the Tercel 4WD transmission bellhousing.

A manual transmission for the 4WD cars going for $529 with free shipping, 30-day return policy, and 5-year/unlimited miles warranty. The seller is "lowmileageparts.com". Anybody know anything about this? It seems, on the balance, like a good deal whatwith the shipping and warranty.

The only thing that makes me really suspicious is the unlimited miles warranty on a transmission.

That's not just any transmission though from what it says it's a 84 model tranny meaning it has the pre 85 gear set which I need so I will be getting ahold of them as soon as I get the money saved up

83-84= 3.73 gear ratio
85-88= 4.11 gear ratio
If they sell it before you save up the money contact me i have two.
I can't offer you a warranty but i know there good ones one out of a low mile car 160000 miles if i remember correctly.

I am suspicious of any company that does not have their address or location on their website, I could not find it, it appears to be located around New Jersy based on their ship time estimate map. and their only contact info is email. looks like a shady operation despite their claims on the website. BTW, they consider a "low miles" engine or trans one that half the national average of 12k miles per year. so this Tercel trans with 180,000 miles would be consider "low miles". Also, what is that thing in the picture next to teh trans?!?!? looks like a transfer case, but it is not from a Tercel.

WARNING!!! Despite the warranty claim, read all the fine print and check out the company's reputation through consumer complaint websites. I was careless and bought a few small items (vitamins) where they ended up charging my credit card 15 times what they claimed it would cost. and than kept sending me "refills" that I did not order, now all of their phone numbers do not work to cancel this "subscription", they have no legal address that I can find, the return address on the packages is some leased office with no sign on the door (thank google earth for that). I will have to cancel it by blocking my credit card and want to dispute the charges. I should have checked them out first, there was a long list of complaints, many got charged and never got any product. I will survive the charges. It was not that bad, but the dishonesty of it really burns me. And it was so easy to check ahead of the order, which I was stupid not to do.

I work for an internet security company and my job is to validate businesses that want to get their websites secured. For anyone that is interested I did some digging around on Low Mileage Parts, Inc. Looks like their headquarters were in NY but the organization was dissolved as of July of 2010. I was able to track down an address but no phone number. I would advise against anyone making any purchases from this website.

i tried to order the transmission today apparently it was cracked and they don't have another so bad news guys no tranny for us

they completely cancelled the order but heres the catch. to have it delivered to your home it would run you an extra 150 for residential freight. the reviews on the site are poor by a mile. and the customer service was about as bright as a pebble on a beach.
