For those of you who wanted to see:

Frame crack, you can see the welds and where it kept going. It also continues around the bottom but it's -10 outside so I didn't crawl under.



And the funny gauges: (Before you judge me know that "temperature" is spelled wrong on purpose. Inside joke with some friends haha)

that looks like it would be an easy fix, if done properly it would be stronger than the original. the crack end should have been stop-drilled and the old crack ground into an open "V". Unless there is more extensive damage that would not be so easy to fix.

Yeah, it gets worse on the bottom, just driving the car on the road caused the driver side to be visibly lower than the passenger, I didn't want to chance it

Hey Scott, I live in Twin Falls, Idaho and have an '87 DLX 4wd running parts car that might have the parts you are looking for. I am willing to sell almost anything off of the car unless I plan on needing for myself. I require the shipping to be covered for parts and depending on what the parts are and the amount of time it takes me to remove them and package them up I might want just a little for compensation. I only charge a little for the parts to offset the price I paid for the parts car.

I am also willing to sell other parts off the car that I intend to save for myself but the price would have to be right to part with some things.

Just so you know i got a good light blue fender on my '87 unless red is the color you are looking for. Lets say $15 bucks plus shipping? PM if you would like to consider my offer. I could get it sent out on Tues morn if we can can make a deal.

most shipping carriers charge by both weight and size, a fender is not too heavy but will make a bulky package (make a light wood frame out of 1x2s and wrap it with heavy cardboard). Grey hound bus lines does cargo shipping on their buses that counts only weight, so it is often much cheaper to ship it Grey hound freight if it is large and bulky. Once you get it crated and weighed, check the various ways to ship. Funny thing is with Grey hound it arrives in most locations overnight for less cost than any other way. You just have to take it to a greyhound station, and the other person has to pick it up at one. Most medium sized cities, and larger, have grey hound depots.

toyotaman- ive got a premo LF fender(bought it from little red about a year ago.) it's off a white dlx with absolutely NO RUST! looks like i won't be needing it now- my '88 sr5 got hit in the back and the fenders on it are cherry too. think i paid $65-$70 with shipping. how's $50 sound to you? shipping should be no problem- i live in 21214 and work in 21209. let me know.

Just an update on that left fender that I said I had in light blue...it has a little too much rust to be a good used fender. The passenger side is however in great shape, no rust.

wow it sounds like everyone wants to sell me a fender. rev233 though is within my normal driving range for picking up parts. how does this weekend sound for meeting up like on sunday sometime. PM me if tthis works well for you. now that i might have a fender available who has an air filter assembly. The car i bought had only a modified airfilter setup and since ive had trouble finding an original one.
