So if it's a Pick and Pull, Arlington might be the best bet. Petros, Any good parks to meet , Park and Picnic around Smokey Point?

Yes, two county parks nearby, both on lakes. those are still free. I was thinking someplace fun up in the mountains, after short mountain loop drive up the back roads. Of course it will get the cars dusty, so it will be more of an outing than a car show.

Well welcome to the list!

You can put pictures of your ride (and your "story") over in the Gallery section of the forum. You are also invited to our june meet if you like, but it is bit of a long drive from your place.

We can also have a nice bar-b-que at my place, I likely have a bigger inventory of Tercel4wd parts in my garage than the Pick-n-pull any, maybe I can clean out my garage for you guys.

that would work too, peter. i think i'm more into the pick n' pull/parks idea because i love parks and lakes and swimming and don't need any terc stuff right now but i'm game for either.

i'll drop xirdneh and ohcanada_00 lines as well and see if they're down. i think they are relatively close by.

hi guys, sorry haven't been more active, I'm in the middle of getting my new business venture up and running so it's been a long hard stressful financially draining few months.

I'll put the day on the calendar, I make no promises but we'll see what I can do!

I'm game if my schedule is open then. My summer looks like it may be pretty busy since the company I work for already has four archaeology projects lined up during the field season. Is there any agreement on the location?

what is smokey point like? is it a nice park? synth mentioned it a few posts back and i see it's just off the i-5 and near a lake, both of which i like.

Lake Goodwin is has several great day areas that are free to use, Wenberg small but also free (it is right off fwy and noisy). There are a few smaller parks nearby, if the intent is to have a BBQ we could likely use any. Depends on how many coming might have to reserve a picknick shelter.

would goodwin be suitable, than? let's settle on an exact location. peter, you and synth know the area well so one of you guys call it and we'll just run with that. i like the idea of a covered area in case the weather sucks. i also like the BBQ idea. i make a bad ass potato salad that i could bring down in a cooler.

I'm not so familuar with the north end, More seattle and the east side. Anyway, I'm in. Will have a Weber ready, the BBQ that is, and awning or two. Stoked on the PNW international idea!

Figure maybe ten members or more???? 6 at the minimum. I know a few lurkers I'll email too.

So Petros, in your wisdom, what's the best spot?

Lake goodwin is a good place. Here is a link to the County park website: http://www1.co.snohomish.wa.us/Departme ... ion_Parks/

If it is a warm sunny day it can be a bit of a crowd, but that is not likely to happen in june.

I can bring a few kayaks.

I realize I am a complete newbie to the club here, but as it happens I may be down on the coast for a friend's wedding at the end of June. If the opportunity presents itself, I hope I could get the chance to mingle with the 'big wigs' of Tercel4wd!
