that clip was actually pretty funny. john clease really is a master, i love monty python. i've heard of fawlty towers but never watched it before so that's a good introduction. i love it when he calls his car a "vicious bastard."

Doesn't "Auntie BBC" go back to at least the '30s, when there was only one (!) radio channel in the whole UK? And it knew what was best for the whole country?
I remember when there were pirate radio stations on ships just outside the xx mile limit and on the WWII AA platforms off the coast as well.

the BEEB has always been Auntie before tele- the pirate ships were called radio caroline and radio london the best DJ was Kenny Everett (see below)- also i had better apologize to our Austrailian cousins, after all they are anglophones like the rest of us -Sorry Aussies and thanks for Kylie

auntie occasionally employs us for odd jobs, like this is one we did in a place where you and i know well-(last year) the favourite weapon is the ied - its still standing not been blown up yet -dec
