I'm not sure how much clearance you have side to side in that cubby you created but I hope its enough so that your dizzy doesn't smack the walls when you're torq'in on it while wheelin. Just a thought

83toybeater,
I got an email from a guy in Finland who has some input to your project, but doesn't want to join the forums. He's done a similar swap to yours.
Here is what he emailed me:

hello
i am from Finland so my english isn`t so good. I don´t want to register in tercel 4wd, but if you can sent message to your member.
he is changing 4afe in tercel. I have 4af in mine. Clutch is the problem.. original is too small. mine is from ae86. and the wire is also a problem. exhaust will melt the wire. he must think those before he starts to drive with his car.
or is it automatic?
you can contact me if you have something to ask

I haven't followed your whole thread, but imagine he intended this for you. Email me if you want me to put you in contact with him.
Cheers,
Nick

hm, I couldn't even get the AE-86 flywheel to fit in the 4wd tranny bell housing (i tried to see if it would fit before i swapped the 3a-c flywheel to my 4a-c)
anyways, i like Jari's twin side draft webbers!

update
well its been a while sense i have posted an update, i got a 98 acura that needed a engine at a killer deal so i have spent some energy on it.
the 4afe swap has made some progress, got some kinks worked out of little things
this is the fuel pump on the passanger side frame rail with the filter right before it. (walbro 255lph)
made a lil bracket to hold the clutch cable off the header, it isnt much but it pinches it nicely
header has officaly cleard the steering shaft and the cv axel it has the flange on the end of it as well!
i put the timing cover on, belts are on, radiator in and hooked up.
another shot of the motor as it sits tonight.
