Corolla wagon wrecked

Post by 3A-C Power »

I got hit by a truck, so that's the end of that. Nobody was hurt though.
So anyone know of a good deal on a wagon around Ontario? I like the boxy 80's cars anyway.
Public transit is also good. And bikes.

Crap! Sorry to hear about that. Glad to hear all are ok though. Maybe you'll end up with another tercel? I bet you like having fuel injection and 4wd like in the alltrac though.

Hey, 3A-C, good to see ya again, and sorry , too , to hear about the crash. I often think how pissed I'd be if my Terc. got crashed, esp. if somebody else ran into me. I'm sure insurance companies wouldn't pay anything near what the car is worth to me.

1985 Tercel 4wd SR5 - 185K miles (not running)

Only 3 to go for the whole set ! lol

Exactly why I've kept every receipt on the $ I've spent on Goldie! I figure there would be an argument if she were ever in even a fender-bender, given her age; at least the ever-growing mound of receipts might be some ammunition.

Thanks guys. Good news from my insurance company, they have ACCIDENT FORGIVENESS which means exactly what it says. So I'm still in the driving business, just gotta stay clean for the next 7 years. I'm still driving the smashed up car but it's a real cop magnet.

GT-S, I loved the fuel injection, never had a problem, but the centre diff 4WD is trash. Sucks gas all the time and makes e-brake drifting harder. Nothing beats the old school wagons, they just need fuel injection and a transmission that holds up like the rest of the car. I can deal with 62 horsepower as long as it keeps getting transmitted to the wheels.

Now if it was 1/4 that price.....
Nice car. I'd be happy with that for even half the price.

Ha! That's neat! My Dad has a red '90 that tlooks just like that. It's absolutely 100% M-I-N-T condition. He bought it new in 1990 to replace the Terc, which we (at the time since it was our first one and we didn't know better) thought would eventually die. He's still driving the Tercel today, so the 'Rolla has been garaged all its life, only summer driven, the thing's hardly ever been in the rain, no salt/winter driving at all.. IIRC, it's got less than 30,000Km on it, I should take some pics next time I think of it, I think you guys would like it.

Dad's been a Toyota freak forever, guess that's where I get it from.
