'new' wheels for snow tires

Post by brianp »

This past weekend, I went by the local junkyard to pick up some wheels to mount my snow tires to, so I don't have to pay Les Schwab $50 each time I have them put on and taken off. I found a '84 Corolla with some wheels, which are actually the same type as the ones on the tercel, except for the trim. They were a bargin at $10 a piece. 8)

I need to sandblast and repaint them sometime, but they work for now.

Off a FWD I assume. Same diameter and width? A lot of the FWD Corollas and non-wagon Tercs had 4.5" wide rims. Ours are 13x5.

yes, I'm almost certain they are 13x5's. I pulled the trim off of it, and off my white wheels, and they look exactly the same. I could paint them white, and put the tercel trim on, and you wouldn't know the difference. ;) I think I'll keep them silver though. :)

Ha, very ingeneous (sp). I'd like to see some more images of the car with the new wheels if possible, it's a little hard to see with the angle!

I've put my Honda rims on my Terc before, it was a strange look.
