No spark after sitting

I have a 86 tercel 4wd wagon that I parked under a tree for 6 months while it was summer. Now its winter and I wanted to drive it again, but it won't start. I had it running a month ago, and the only difference is that it is raining and wet now, and the car flooded itself from a leaky sunroof.

The flood has been all dryed up and the moldy seat thrown out, but it won't start. There is no spark, so I followed the manual's instructions on how to test the coil and transistor. The coil checked out, voltage was getting to the low side, and the transistor seemed to open correctly, though it sounded electrically-crackly afterwords so I killed the power.

Has any one else had problems with transistorized ignition going bad from just sitting? This doesn't make much sence to me. I cleaned all the grounds I could find, and all the connections in the ignition.

My ignitor failed on my 87 corolla gts every time i stored it for a while...maybe that is it....oh wait, do the turtles have ignitors? ....i think they do.... i have not had to look under the hood since i got my car...other then the ngk plug wires....

Yes, in fact they had an ignitor recall in.... I think 85.

Try spraying a light helping of PBBlaster in the cap? If the inside of the cap is wet at all it'll give a no-spark.
