Lollypop, my Dad's got an all original 76 Liftback Celica, and he had one one of the real early Coupes before that. It's all he's ever owned, and that's what got me into my car. Between drivable and parts cars he's has around 20 or more Celicas, Corollas and Tercels. We had an old 79 Corolla Wagon that looked like a stretch version of the original Civics when I was a kid. Vinyl seats..

Yea ..........for a short period I had a (I think) '78 liftback.....kinda looked like an litttle Shelby. I didnt have it long so the details are kinda fuzzy. Damn I'm gettin old.I'd love to have myself an old '75 Celica GTwith that "monster" 20R. My favorite Celica was a '75 with a motor from a '75 Hi-Lux mated to the 5 speed celica trans and minus 100% of the smog crap. That joker would haul ass. Had a buddy years later who put together the same set-up, installed a Supra posi rear end, motor had a huge cam, dual diedraft mikuni carbs and later NOS. Beat bad ass V-8's at the track all day long. Ya know its bad enuff to get beat at the track but to get beat by a 4 cyl. toy......that hurts an ego.
