I use small triangles of colored vinyl tape stuck on the speedo plastic to indicate the usual in town and highway speed limits when I have bigger tires on a car. Around here...25...35...55 mph.Aussie_3ASCV wrote: i keep getting speeding fines though cause my speedos way out
Cheaper than tickets.
Give a boy a gun-give a biatch a cell phone-and pretty soon you almost got yourself a police state.

205/70R14's are a significant boost in diameter... Over bumps you may experience serious fender rubbing. In fact, for the 205/75R14's, a minimum 2 inch lift is recommended for safety.

I run 205/70/14 tires and have put in about 1.5 inches of lift. I get slight rubbing at full turning lock and no rubbing on bumps. I used to get rubbing on bumps before the lift, but rubber donut spring boosters helped a bit. My speedo is exactly 10% out. So when my speedo says 100kmh I am actually going 110.
I checked it with a GPS.
I like the ride on 14's for sure. Probably help with mileage as well.

I ran 205/50/14's lowered 2" without any issues. My sidewals are shorter tho.Carguylen wrote: I can get ahold of a set of 205/70/14's in excellent shape free. I want to get a set of 14 inch rims, and if I did, would these be to big?
