Do you just use one wrench to unscrew the inner tie rod end, or do you need to use a second wrench or some other tool to hold the steering rack while unscrewing it?
I've seen a few things on the Internet that seem to show that you just unscrew it without the rack being supported and I can't find any details in the svc manual.

It's best to support the rack, I generally use a crescent wrench.
The flats on the tie rod end are narrower than most wrenches that size, I ended up buying a... 30mm? crows foot socket and then cut it in half to make it a thin wrench, works great.

Re: Removing inner tie rod
I ended up buying one of those special tools to aid in removing the inner tie rod... can't remember where I bought it, but it was less than $15 and it worked like a charm

Don't forget about the locking tabs that you have to bend back to get them off. I made that mistake once.

Read ALL, but scroll down a bit.

Parts should arrive around the 30th, so I hope to do this (weather permitting) the first weekend of November.
