Came across this comment on a Jalopnik article, thought it might interest some of you:
My mother had one with 700,000 miles on it. She changed the oil
every 50K or so and that's about it. I once stole it and ran the front
wheels to 85 MPH on ice with the handbrake engaged, then hopped some
curbs and did some impromptu field-hopping.
The car finally retired when it lost all gears besides first and
second - a family friend who ran a wrecking yard ripped off the rear
hatch and used it as a parts runner for many more years, mind you this
was in Chicago and the car was regularly rained/snowed in.

The math doesn't add up. Nothing short of semi's last that long on that oil interval.
I really can't make any large claims for one single car. My #1 is still the overall champ. Car made it to 300k, it's engine 100 more. How often do 300k engines get transplanted! Still ran when retired, but getting tired. That 3a survived many thermal events too.
Love the comment about passing cars that are in the only clear lane, having just done that last weekend.
Been in thousands of cars and light trucks and have only seen one that high. A 2004 E350 that's currently pushing 800. Engine replaced at low 700's.

I think that every once in a while, a car comes off the assembly line with absolutely everything in the exact perfect spec. That's how you get million-mile tundras and 3 million mile Volvos.
