Russian built SUV's in Canada? Interesting. Apparently they became somewhat popular in Europe but it surprises me they made it to North America.

those are interesting little 4x4, my cousin that lives in Athens used to drive one. the are cheap, simple, and not considered very well made in the European market, something for low income people like students to drive. I like their simple rugged design, you can not really buy that kind of vehicle any more in North America.

If they are troublesome to keep running, they are not worth owning, other than as a novelty (like for a car collector). Getting parts could be an issue, though I read somewhere that they are old Fiat designs, built from Fiat tooling that Russia bought. But finding parts for 30-40 years old Fiats is troublesome at best. so you would be on your own to keep them running.

Hmm, would definitely be good candidates for some kind of swap I would think! Too bad I live in the complete opposite direction of where these things are located.....

finding parts wouldn't be that hard, they still manufacture these cars to this day in Russia and other former soviet states parts are literally everywhere over there, you just have to pay a lot to ship them
