What's your piston index?

Post by Mad_Marx »

What's your piston index number? Count the number of pistons you own, incliding lawn mowers, weed eaters, and any spare engines you may have in your garage sitting on an engine stand and such. No rounding up, count them all, this is your piston index number.

wow oldfaithful, with that many engines to keep running you spend a lot of time doing maintenance and servicing them all.

if you are counting pistons not installed in engines, I would have 6 or 8 more. since I have no plans for them i did not consider them at all.

Ha Ha Petros.
Two of the Tercs are being scrapped,I already took the motor out of one, a good motor, and the other one I'm just about to take the motor out of it in the next couple of days, a real good motor, which I'm going to put in my old girl because in a month or so my wife and I are heading to Northern Ontario. Then my daily driver which I'm sure you know has 825,000 lms on it,and I bought an '83 SR-5 from Texas 7 years ago, the car is mint, absolutely no rust but the clear coat is burnt off the roof and hood, so I have to get it painted. The other 3A motors I have are from other Tercels I have junked ( the old saying, you can't have too many Tercs) I have lots of parts because as you know my son Darryl (DCN) has the beautiful 87, so with 3 in the family it's good to have the parts if and when we need them.

Do legs count as pistons, they do feel like they are exploding when you've been doing a lot uphill cycling?

Let's see...

Suburban (to pull the boat)- 8
2 chain saws- 2
2 mowers- 2

83 SR5 Silver/Blue (Snowmobile/work beater)-totaled but drivable

87 fwd silver wagon a/t
87 4wd dx Cream (a/t- not anymore- now m/t)
