how much does a year of insurance cost you

i just renewed the insurance on my corolla. i got $3 million in liability and that's it, no collision or comprehensive because i know they will write the car off rather than fix anything at all on it if the unthinkable happens. cost me just under $900 for the year. just curious what it costs everyone else in different areas.

i'm paranoid about causing a lifelong injury to anyone. medical costs would add up fast.

$200,000 is our bare minimum for liability, then $2 million, $3 million, and $5 million.

About $250 for six months for three cars, two drivers, 300k liability, uninsured motorist, roadside assistance, and comprehensive coverage (for glass coverage)

mine is 675.00 a year, 2 million liability and 1 free accident every 5 years with out a increase in price, on my rav and wagon

I'm paying about $780 ($546 US) for the '81 and $912 ($638 US) for the wagon. That's with the 2 million and collision/theft and it allows someone else to drive it other than me. I never used to go with collision, but it's only about an extra $2 a month with cars this old.

My insurance only goes up to 500K liability, never even heard of having it in the millions down here.

Im not even clear on what my coverage is...i think its something pretty skimpy like 15,000...but thats why everybody else has under-insured motorist coverage i would assume. I have BAREBONE minimum PA-legal coverage with Geico...Costs me about $313.00 for 6 months, for 4 vehicles, 3 cars & one pickup. paid all in one lump every 6 months. Im 26 & have a perfect driving record (knock on wood)...

It might be cheaper to gt less liability insurance on the car and get a separate liability umbrella policy. The umbrella policy would also protect you from other forms of liability not related to your car.
