LED Dash Lights conversion

Post by dcn »

Hi all,

Checking in with another update dad's done to his car, this time it's LEDs instead of the bulbs that were installed in the instrument lighting. He wanted to show them here so below are the pics he took:

Awesome. Was hoping they posting the packaging might help, that's great! I need to replace my heater control bulb, maybe I'll follow suit.

I honestly did not know there were lights behind the temp lever. Obviously, mine don"t work at all.
How do I access them and how many bulbs did you need for the whole upgrade? Including tach / speedo.

Yeah mine just burned out and it's standing out like a sore thumb having nothing lit above my radio when driving in the dark.

Notes from dad re: bulb count: 3 in the speedo tack cluster 1 in the clinometer and 1 in the heater panel which I had to alter because it only takes the little tiny bulb. So 5 total.

If he decides to change out his turn signal dash indicators or his exterior turn signals he will want modify his flasher. Here is the thread in the repair guides section.

Hey dcn, trying to change my dash lights to leds this weekend. I can get it all apart but I can"t get the panel far enough out from the dash to get the speedo cable unhooked. No slack. How did your father get at it?
